At the April 5, 2017 Council Meeting a project extension of 60 days from Notice of Award was approved for the Contractor. The Notice of Award was November 22, 2016. As a result of the extension, the Contractor must now complete all work on the Project by August 21st, 2018.

Liquidated damages for failure to meet these deadlines are $5,000/day plus $150/hour for engineering and inspection costs. The City shall deduct and retain any money due until completion and acceptance of work.

Construction Hours

Construction hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 7:00pm and Saturday 9:00am to 3:00pm. On weekdays, setup of daily activities will be permitted to begin at 6:30am with cleanup activities completed by 8:00pm. On Saturdays, setup is permitted to start at 8:30am with cleanup completed by 4:00pm. The modified construction hours were approved by the City Council in order to expedite the construction schedule and minimize the disruption to this vital commercial corridor.
